Fullstack Engineer, Shopify
Talon.One is seeking a Fullstack Engineer with a strong front-end focus to join our development team in Berlin. This role involves building and maintaining integrations between Shopify and the Talon.One promotion engine, enabling Shopify merchants to configure, manage, and monitor promotions seamlessly within their stores. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and solution teams to deliver reliable and intuitive integration experiences.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining front-end applications using React and TypeScript for Shopify merchants, improving embedded Shopify apps with setup flows, configuration UIs, and diagnostics, and integrating these applications with Shopify APIs, primarily using Shopify's GraphQL APIs. The role also involves collaborating with backend engineers working in Rust and Go to define and consume APIs, implementing clean and well-tested front-end code following modern best practices, and contributing to internal patterns, documentation, and developer experience around Shopify integrations.
The ideal candidate will have professional experience building front-end applications with React and TypeScript, a strong understanding of modern front-end fundamentals such as component design, state management, forms, performance, and accessibility, and experience or hands-on exposure to Shopify app development or e-commerce integrations. Familiarity with Shopify APIs, especially the Shopify Admin and Storefront GraphQL APIs, and experience integrating front-end applications with REST and/or Shopify-specific GraphQL APIs are also required. Comfort in collaborating with backend engineers and working with existing backend services, along with a pragmatic mindset with attention to quality, usability, and maintainability, are essential.
