General Counsel - Austin

Human Agency is seeking a General Counsel to oversee the legal function across its expanding portfolio, including a core AI consultancy, an investment fund, an operating company, and various nonprofits and political entities. This role is integral to establishing and maintaining a coherent legal structure that supports the company's diverse operations and rapid growth.

The General Counsel will be responsible for designing and maintaining the company's legal architecture, structuring and managing the fund and its related vehicles, leading legal execution of acquisitions and roll-ups, and ensuring tax-aware structuring. Additionally, the role involves drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, protecting intellectual property, and maintaining governance and compliance across the organization.

Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in transactional law, particularly in structuring complex legal entities and managing multifaceted legal operations. A strong background in corporate governance, compliance, and intellectual property law is essential.
