General Counsel - Seattle

Human Agency is seeking a General Counsel to oversee the legal function across its diverse portfolio, including a core AI consultancy, an investment fund, operating companies, and various nonprofits and political entities. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement a comprehensive legal structure that supports the company's rapid growth and complex operations.

The General Counsel will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a coherent legal framework that spans multiple entities, ensuring tax efficiency, liability containment, and operational clarity. Key duties include structuring and launching the fund and its related vehicles, leading legal aspects of acquisitions and integrations, and managing commercial contracts and intellectual property protections. Additionally, the role involves overseeing governance and compliance across the organization.

Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in transactional law, particularly in structuring and managing complex legal entities and transactions. Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $180,000 to $300,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
