Global Head of Facilities

The Global Head of Facilities at Newlab is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of the company's facilities across multiple locations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is based at Newlab's Brooklyn Navy Yard headquarters and requires frequent travel to other sites, including Detroit, New Orleans, and Riyadh. The role involves managing a team of facilities leaders and coordinating with various vendors and support staff to ensure a consistent and exceptional facilities experience globally.

Key responsibilities include developing and monitoring operational and capital project budgets, implementing preventive maintenance programs for critical building systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role also involves establishing and maintaining high facilities standards across all Newlab locations, leading new location onboarding and expansion projects, and managing vendor relationships to maintain high operational standards and cost-effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record in driving operational efficiency and excellence in facilities management, experience in managing vendor relationships across a multi-location and global organization, and the capability to oversee capital projects ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Demonstrable success in leading multifaceted teams and executing cross-functional projects is also essential. Additional experience in hospitality, engineering, startup lab/shop/prototyping environments, and projects completed in collaboration with government agencies is considered a plus.

The compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $180,000 to $225,000, commensurate with the candidate's experience. The position is also eligible for a bonus program and offers comprehensive benefits.
