Graduate Sales Development Representative (AU/NZ)
Canonical is seeking a Graduate Sales Development Representative to join its growing team in the Asia-Pacific region. This role offers an opportunity to work with a global software company renowned for publishing Ubuntu and open-source enterprise solutions for cloud, developer, IoT, and AI applications. Ubuntu is the fastest-growing Linux distribution and ranks as the number one operating system in the cloud.
As a Sales Development Representative, you will handle inbound customer inquiries via email, phone, and chat, and execute outbound sales and marketing campaigns. Your responsibilities will include traveling to events and conferences worldwide to present at booths and drive face-to-face marketing and sales opportunities. Collaborating across multiple teams and senior stakeholders, you will work directly with marketing on campaigns, research information about prospective customers, and generate a multi-million-pound pipeline. Additionally, you will identify prospects and market trends, help define team processes and policies, liaise with new and existing customers, and accurately create, update, maintain, and nurture leads on global opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent academic results at school and university, a passion for business and technology, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Strong creative problem-solving and cross-team collaboration skills are essential, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. A result-driven mindset with an over-achiever spirit, persistence, and perseverance are also key attributes for success in this role.
