Graduate Trading Operations Specialist
IMC is seeking a Graduate Trading Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Chicago. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing our trading systems, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance across our low-latency infrastructure. As part of a motivated team, you will face daily challenges managing high-volume data flows in a complex environment, contributing significantly to our global trading operations.
Key responsibilities include monitoring, managing, and updating pricing tools, acting as a liaison between traders and internal support desks, coordinating with external issuers, vendors, and data providers, supporting the market-making trade book, and verifying backend processes such as trade reporting and P&L recording. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with both technical and trading challenges, making a tangible impact within the organization.
Candidates should be recent university graduates or current students graduating before August 2026 with a degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or Econometrics. A strong quantitative skill set, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to develop and improve existing tools are essential. While experience in programming languages like Python, Matlab, or R is advantageous, it is not required. A genuine interest in financial markets and effective multitasking, organizational, and communication skills are also important. Applicants must be available to start full-time employment in August 2026.
