Betterment is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead the product strategy for our trading and market data systems within the Broker/Dealer organization. This role is pivotal in managing over $55 billion in client assets across our investing lines of business. The successful candidate will oversee product teams responsible for trading and market data functions, ensuring the durability and efficiency of our systems to reflect the trust our clients place in us.

Key responsibilities include defining the multi-year vision for our platform's evolution to meet growing business needs and architectural goals, such as new asset class support and real-time data expansion. The Group Product Manager will partner with engineering leadership and stakeholders to balance roadmap priorities across all business lines, manage embedded Product Managers, and collaborate with teams like Capital Markets, Custody, Investing, Operations, and Legal & Compliance to navigate complex client situations and regulatory obligations.

The ideal candidate will have product management experience in financial services or fintech, focusing on back-end systems and applications. Deep expertise in financial concepts like portfolio management, order routing, trade execution workflows, FIX protocol, and securities data management is essential. Strong storytelling skills, technical fluency, experience managing or mentoring other Product Managers, and creative problem-solving abilities are also required.

Compensation for this role ranges from $187,000 to $214,000 annually, depending on factors such as location, experience, and performance.
