Grupo QuintoAndar, the largest real estate ecosystem in Latin America, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. This role is part of our commitment to promoting racial equality and is specifically focused on Black professionals. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the overall living experience for our users. Our technology team operates under a remote-first model, allowing you to work from anywhere in Brazil, with the option to utilize our São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces up to twice a week.
In this position, you will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, including definition, development, testing, production, and maintenance. You will work with Agile methodologies, participate in ceremonies to contribute to team process improvements, and implement scalable and reliable software architectures. Additionally, you will handle incidents, troubleshoot, and debug software issues, creating post-mortems and taking actions to prevent future occurrences. Mentoring a team of software engineers and participating in code and design reviews to ensure high code quality are also key aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Agile development practices, proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript, and a strong understanding of database design and evolution. Experience in designing and evolving software architecture from the ground up, creating RESTful APIs, and utilizing tools for software monitoring and performance tracking is essential. Solid software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, deployment automation, and design documentation, are required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and fluency in Portuguese with advanced English are also necessary.
