As a Staff Data Engineer at Grupo QuintoAndar, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining a high-performance data platform that meets the company's needs, connects with product solutions, and leads analytical innovation. You will work closely with product, software engineering, and Data & AI leaders to drive data-driven and AI-driven decision-making at scale. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a team working on high-impact projects that affect the lives of thousands of people.
Your key responsibilities will include creating and editing data pipelines, considering business logic that best applies to the area in question, choosing levels of aggregation, grouping and transforming fields, checking data quality, and cleaning the data. You will also be responsible for the entire code development lifecycle, including monitoring deployment, documentation, performance, security, adding metrics and alarms, and ensuring SLO budget compliance. Additionally, you will enable teams across the company to access and use data more effectively through self-service tools and well-modeled datasets.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in software engineering principles, with experience working on data-centric systems. Proficiency in Python, or one of the main programming languages, and a passion for writing clean and maintainable code are essential. You should also have experience with Airflow, Spark, AWS, and Databricks, as well as knowledge in infrastructure areas such as containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS), CI/CD strategies, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and observability (Prometheus, Grafana). Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are also important.
