The Head Kitchen Porter at 180 House in Central London plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen operations within Soho House, a renowned hospitality group. This position involves leading the kitchen porter team to ensure all kitchenware, including pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, and glassware, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. The role is integral to upholding hygiene and safety protocols, managing waste disposal, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and back-of-house areas.

Key responsibilities include washing, rinsing, and sanitizing all kitchen items in line with daily operational needs, operating commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen workspaces and storage areas. The Head Kitchen Porter is also responsible for proper waste disposal, adhering to all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies, following detailed cleaning schedules, and supporting the kitchen team by replenishing stock and assisting during peak service times.

The ideal candidate will have up to 2 years of experience in a busy, high-profile venue and a natural flair for first-class service. Essential qualifications include previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience, knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment, strong attention to detail, reliability, discretion, and a professional attitude. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are also required.

Compensation for this role is £14 per hour, with additional surplus service charge.
