Head of Acquisitions

Legalist is an institutional alternative asset management firm founded in 2016 and incubated at Y Combinator. The firm utilizes data-driven technology to invest in credit assets at scale. The Head of Acquisitions will lead the firm's acquisition strategies, working closely with the leadership team to identify and execute investment opportunities that align with Legalist's growth objectives.

The Head of Acquisitions will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisition opportunities across various sectors. This includes conducting thorough due diligence, developing financial models, and preparing investment recommendations for senior leadership. The role also involves negotiating deal structures, managing transaction processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of acquired assets.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 6 years of experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, or private equity is required, with a proven track record in executing transactions from sourcing through close. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and excellent communication abilities are essential. Experience in asset management or related industries is highly desirable.
