Portfolio Operations Specialist

Legalist is seeking a Portfolio Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a technology-driven investment firm specializing in alternative assets, we manage nearly $1 billion in investments for institutional clients. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing uncorrelated yield through innovative investment strategies.

In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing legal documents, case filings, and supporting materials to inform underwriting and portfolio monitoring. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting legal and factual research, supporting due diligence efforts, organizing case files, tracking key case developments, and drafting concise summaries and reports. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to enhance our investment operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Political Science, History, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field, along with 3–5 years of relevant experience, such as paralegal work at an AmLaw 200 firm or roles in legal research, compliance, or litigation support. Proficiency with legal research tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to manage case-related workflows are essential. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication are also key attributes for success in this role.
