Head of Industry, Travel
Viant Technology is seeking a Head of Industry, Travel to lead and expand its successful travel and hospitality advertising business. This executive role involves scaling brand-direct demand, enhancing agency adoption, and strengthening travel targeting and measurement solutions. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois, with additional opportunities in Los Angeles, California, and New York.
The Head of Industry, Travel will be responsible for expanding direct brand relationships within the travel and hospitality sectors. Key duties include developing and executing a brand-first go-to-market strategy, hiring and leading a team of travel-focused sellers, and collaborating with product and business development teams to enhance Viant's programmatic solutions. The role also involves representing Viant at industry events and driving greater industry awareness through thought leadership and client education.
Candidates should have over 15 years of advertising experience, including at least 7 years in travel marketing, whether in brand-direct, agency, or vendor-side roles. Expertise in programmatic advertising across channels such as CTV, streaming audio, online video, display, DOOH, and mobile is essential. A proven track record of building brand-direct relationships and scaling programmatic adoption in the travel industry is required, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Viant offers a competitive base compensation range of $225,000 to $250,000, with final compensation based on factors including work experience and education.
