Head of Procurement (Oosterweel)

As Head of Procurement for the Oosterweel project at BESIX, you will lead the procurement strategy for one of Belgium's most ambitious infrastructure initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Directorate and client Lantis to ensure the successful completion of the project, which aims to enhance the Antwerp Ring Road and surrounding areas.

Your primary responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive procurement strategy, overseeing strategic and overarching purchases, and ensuring compliance with contractual procurement obligations. You will build and manage an efficient procurement team, working alongside the Deputy Head of Procurement for operational follow-up, and report directly to the General Director.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience, with at least five years in a leadership or project management role, particularly within complex civil construction or infrastructure projects. Strong team management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of the Belgian market and civil construction sector are essential. Proficiency in Dutch is required, along with a good command of English and French.
