The Head of Programme Management Office (PMO) at Clifford Chance plays a pivotal leadership role within the Transformation Office, overseeing the firm's global transformation initiatives. This position ensures that strategic projects are effectively governed, executed, and aligned with the firm's CC@40 strategy, delivering measurable business outcomes. The role demands a balance between high-level strategic oversight and detailed involvement in project delivery, setting standards for governance and continuously evolving PMO capabilities to meet dynamic business needs.

Key responsibilities include establishing and operating a fit-for-purpose PMO, translating firm strategy into structured programmes and delivery plans, and maintaining consistent application of governance and delivery standards. The role involves leading firm-wide demand intake, prioritisation, and portfolio planning processes, as well as providing ongoing oversight of scope, schedule, cost, risk, and dependencies across programmes. Additionally, the Head of PMO partners with Finance to govern investment decisions and benefits tracking, produces executive reporting to enable timely interventions, and actively manages cross-programme dependencies and resource constraints.

The ideal candidate will possess an MBA or advanced degree in a related field from a reputed institute, along with significant experience working within a department or firm-wide PMO, ideally in a professional services environment. Proven ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams, strong organisational and detail-oriented skills, and demonstrated leadership capabilities are essential. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in data analytics and dashboarding tools such as PowerBI.

Clifford Chance offers a collaborative and inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued. Employees have access to formal training, informal coaching, and mentoring, as well as opportunities to participate in employee affinity groups and charitable events. The firm is committed to treating all employees and applicants fairly and equally, ensuring an environment where everyone can learn, thrive, and grow.
