Junior Trainee Lawyer – Corporate M&A
Clifford Chance is seeking a Junior Trainee Lawyer to join its Corporate M&A team, which advises major domestic and international companies on public and private mergers and acquisitions, disposals, demergers, joint ventures, restructurings, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and antitrust matters, with a particular focus on complex cross-border transactions. The firm has a longstanding presence in Italy, with offices in Rome and Milan, and offers clients a full-service capability with a team of approximately 100 lawyers qualified to practice in Italy, the UK, and the US.
In this role, the Junior Trainee Lawyer will handle a variety of work, including drafting and negotiating key documents, conducting due diligence, and coordinating cross-border deal teams. The position involves working closely with clients and other lawyers, providing an opportunity to develop outstanding transactional and organizational skills, as well as superb technical abilities. This role presents an excellent opportunity for career progression within the firm.
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or currently enrolled in a Master's program, with an excellent academic background and proficiency in English. A strong interest in Corporate M&A is essential, demonstrated through in-depth study, internships, campus activities, or summer school experiences. The candidate should be a self-starter and a team player with strong communication, analytical, and drafting skills, capable of leading deals while managing different work streams.
