The Industrial Hygienist at Oklo is responsible for developing and managing industrial hygiene programs across active nuclear and construction job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NRC, DOE, and other applicable federal and state regulations. This role supports broader Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of site-wide safety programs, risk assessments, and compliance strategies. Additionally, the position involves creating and delivering training programs to educate employees and contractors on industrial hygiene practices, hazard recognition, and EHS requirements.

Key responsibilities include designing and executing industrial hygiene sampling plans for airborne contaminants, radiation adjunct hazards, noise, and heat stress. The Industrial Hygienist conducts routine and incident-driven exposure assessments across construction, commissioning, and operational environments, interpreting and communicating results while recommending necessary controls. The role also involves ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, supporting the development and maintenance of written programs such as industrial hygiene plans and chemical hygiene plans, and preparing for audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field, along with over five years of industrial hygiene experience in high-hazard environments such as nuclear, energy, construction, or manufacturing. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial hygiene best practices is essential, with familiarity in NRC/DOE environments being highly preferred. Experience supporting active job sites during construction, commissioning, or operations is also required. Professional certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is strongly preferred or should be in progress.

Oklo offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $140,000, along with flexible time off, equity options, 401(k) plans, health insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA), and flexible work hours.
