The Senior Process Controls Engineer at Oklo will be responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, scaling, and monitoring various process control systems for the company's fuel recycling facility. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams focused on facility design, unit process equipment design, and licensing to ensure the development of safe and efficient systems.

Key responsibilities include developing systems that meet facility and regulatory requirements, defining and documenting overall control philosophies, preparing and reviewing control system documentation such as instrument loop drawings and logic diagrams, managing control and alarm strategies, designing control system architectures covering hardware and software requirements, and generating technical documentation for regulatory filings.

Candidates must possess a degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in process controls engineering or a similar area. Preferred qualifications include experience with nuclear fuel cycles, high-temperature or high-corrosion facilities, designing and operating DCS, PLC, alarm, safety, and HMI systems, leading process hazard analysis studies, and working on first-of-a-kind or pilot plants.

Oklo offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $85,000 to $175,000 annually, along with flexible time off, equity options, 401(k) plans, health insurance, flexible work hours, and other benefits. Remote employees are required to travel to the Santa Clara, CA headquarters twice per quarter for team meetings and company events.
