Infrastructure Security Engineer
The Infrastructure Security Engineer at Onapsis will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing firewalls, VPNs, and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) to ensure secure network access and traffic flow. The role involves supporting the hardening of endpoints and servers, performing vulnerability assessments, and implementing security configurations to reduce risk exposure. Additionally, the engineer will assist in detecting, investigating, and containing security incidents, analyzing logs, collecting evidence, and contributing to timely mitigation efforts under the guidance of senior security staff.
Key responsibilities include developing scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to automate security tasks, improving efficiency, and enforcing consistent security standards. The engineer will also assist in the management, monitoring, and renewal of digital certificates (TLS/SSL), ensuring proper implementation, validity, and compliance across infrastructure and applications. Maintaining accurate security documentation, producing reports on security posture, incidents, and configuration changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote security awareness are also essential aspects of the role.
Candidates should have over two years of experience securing endpoints, servers, directory services, and infrastructure, with a comprehensive understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and networking principles. Proficiency in firewall and VPN technologies, network and security protocols, and programming and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash is required. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, digital certificates, PKI concepts, and TLS/SSL is also necessary. English proficiency and strong analytical thinking are essential.
