The Integrated Stage Technician at Stoke Space plays a pivotal role in the assembly and integration of flight hardware for the Nova launch vehicle. This position bridges the gap between fabrication and integrated vehicle operations, ensuring that all components meet the highest standards of precision and functionality. Stoke Space is dedicated to developing fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicles, aiming to revolutionize space transportation by reducing costs and increasing reliability.

In this role, the technician is responsible for taking ownership of stage hardware immediately following structural welding, driving the vehicle through integrated assembly activities. Key tasks include installing fluid system hardware such as tubing, fittings, valves, and brackets; performing precision drilling, reaming, fastening, and alignment operations; and installing and routing wiring harnesses, instrumentation wiring, and cables. The technician also installs strain gauges, sensors, insulation systems, and integrated vehicle components, supports vehicle integration, checkouts, leak testing, fit checks, and pre-test operations, and coordinates work across various teams, including structures, fluids, avionics, NDE, quality, and test teams.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in aerospace, aviation, motorsports, or complex mechanical assembly. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, assembly procedures, schematics, and torque specifications is essential. Experience with precision mechanical assembly and integration operations, familiarity with fluid systems, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or fluid systems at a hardware level are required. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work and adapt quickly to changing schedules are also necessary.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary with additional benefits such as equity in the form of stock options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, 4 weeks of paid time off, 10 holidays (including an end-of-year closure), paid family/parental leave, and access to an on-site gym or a monthly wellness stipend.

Stoke Space fosters a mission-driven, collaborative team environment where employees are empowered to take ownership of their work. The company is committed to creating a vibrant, sustainable, and equitable future through the development of reusable launch vehicles, offering opportunities for professional growth and the chance to work alongside dedicated and talented individuals.
