Internal Media Investment Specialist

The Internal Media Investment Specialist at WPP Media South Africa plays a pivotal role within the Investment team, focusing on the execution of media buying strategies across various channels, including television, radio, print, digital, and out-of-home. This position is integral to ensuring that media investments are effectively planned and implemented, aligning with the company's commitment to delivering creative personalization at scale.

Key responsibilities include assisting in the planning and implementation of media buys, monitoring media bookings to ensure campaign delivery aligns with agreed plans, and managing day-to-day buying activities while liaising with media owners. The role also involves managing campaign budgets and billing to ensure accuracy and timely reconciliation, reviewing supplier invoices against contracts and booked schedules, and supporting compliance with internal financial policies, audits, and governance requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Media, Advertising, or a related field, coupled with 0–2 years of experience in media buying, planning, or advertising; internship experience will be considered. Strong numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and multitask effectively is also crucial for success in this role.
