Investment Management Counsel
Axiom is seeking an experienced Investment & Wealth Management Counsel to join its Financial Services team. This remote position offers the opportunity to provide expert legal advice on investment advisory, fiduciary obligations, and wealth management matters, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation for clients.
In this role, the counsel will draft, review, and negotiate investment advisory agreements, trust agreements, and related wealth management documentation. They will provide legal guidance on fiduciary duties and standards of care, including compliance with SEC and FINRA regulations, and advise clients on asset allocation and portfolio diversification strategies. The counsel will also support clients with regulatory compliance under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other applicable securities regulations, assist in developing tailored wealth strategies, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should have over six years of experience advising on investment advisory, wealth management, or fiduciary compliance matters. A strong understanding of fiduciary duties and standards of care, including compliance with SEC and FINRA regulations, is essential. Experience advising clients on asset allocation, portfolio diversification strategies, and wealth management matters is required. Demonstrated experience drafting investment advisory agreements and trust agreements is necessary, along with knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and related regulatory frameworks. Experience working with unregistered funds or private investment vehicles is also preferred.
The estimated total compensation for this full-time role ranges from $1,045,000 to $3,250,000 per year, based on various factors including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
