Legal and Compliance Analyst, Privacy and Security
SpaceX is seeking a Legal and Compliance Analyst to support its Starlink broadband internet business. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with global law enforcement response, cybersecurity, and data privacy requirements. The position is based in Bastrop, Texas, and requires on-site presence.
In this role, you will assist in developing and executing processes to efficiently accept, assess, process, respond to, and record legal demands from law enforcement agencies. You will also support Starlink's compliance with privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations worldwide. Additionally, you will advise, educate, and train internal stakeholders and employees, and support other legal functions, including litigation, contract management, and general legal and regulatory compliance.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and at least one year of experience related to law enforcement response, cybersecurity, or privacy legal issues. Preferred qualifications include three or more years of experience as a legal analyst or paralegal in a law firm or in-house setting supporting cybersecurity, privacy, law enforcement, or other legal/regulatory compliance. Knowledge of legal and regulatory issues facing telecommunications or internet service providers, particularly related to law enforcement response, privacy, and cybersecurity, is also preferred. Experience working directly with government agencies and regulators is advantageous. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, and proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus. An active U.S. government security clearance, or the ability to obtain one if required, is also preferred.
The compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year for Level I and $90,000 to $115,000 per year for Level II, depending on experience and qualifications.
