Legal Counsel
As a Legal Counsel at H&M Group, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and protecting the organization by providing legal support across various functions. Your primary focus will be on regulatory, commercial, and legal matters, ensuring compliance with global standards and facilitating business objectives. This position is based in Mexico City and reports to the Controlling Manager, offering a hybrid work environment.
Your key responsibilities will include negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a wide range of agreements, including lease contracts. You will conduct judicial inquiries and due diligence processes, identifying and analyzing potential risks and their implications. Staying updated on global legal requirements, you will support the market in achieving compliance and assist in tendering processes. Additionally, you will handle dispute resolution and establish efficient routines for contract execution and administration.
The ideal candidate will possess a legal degree and have 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to leasing or real estate. Strong leadership skills are essential, as you will be expected to lead and inspire team members. Exceptional communication abilities, both written and oral, are crucial, along with a solid understanding of risk assessment and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
