Legal Technology Advisor
The Legal Technology Advisor at Clifford Chance is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between legal services and technological innovation. This position is embedded within designated Global Business Units (GBUs) across Europe, collaborating closely with deal and litigation teams to implement real-time technology solutions. The advisor acts as the conduit between client needs and the firm's technological capabilities, ensuring seamless integration of advanced tools to enhance service delivery.
Key responsibilities include acting as the primary point of contact for matter teams within the assigned GBU, assessing requirements, defining scope, and recommending appropriate tools and approaches. The advisor designs and delivers technology-assisted workflows for live matters, such as document review, due diligence, and transaction management, ensuring high-quality execution. Additionally, the role involves configuring, integrating, and optimizing existing solutions to meet matter requirements, maintaining clear documentation, and sharing insights through the Legal Technology Advisory Community of Practice.
Candidates should possess demonstrable experience in advising on and delivering legal technology within a professional services context, preferably in legal or consulting environments. Hands-on expertise across tools like contract analysis platforms, document automation, and litigation/eDiscovery is essential. A strong understanding of AI and data-driven solutions, including Generative AI, NLP, and machine learning, and their practical application to legal workflows is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language, are crucial.
Clifford Chance offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
