The Litigation Counsel role at Waymo offers a unique chance to join a high-impact legal team at a company pioneering autonomous vehicle technology. The Litigation Counsel will manage active litigation, including intellectual property, patent, commercial, class action, and employment matters. The role involves drafting pleadings, discovery and dispositive motions, managing outside counsel, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to align on litigation strategy and company goals. Day-to-day work also includes advising cross-functional teams on litigation-related risks and contributing to policy and process improvements to mitigate future issues.

Candidates should have a Juris Doctor degree and be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. The ideal applicant will have 5 or more years of relevant litigation experience, preferably at a top law firm or in-house legal department. A strong background in managing complex litigation, excellent writing and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical, product, and business teams are essential. Experience with technology clients or automotive products is a strong plus.
