Litigation Paralegal

The Litigation Paralegal role is integral to supporting the firm's mission by managing complex litigation matters and ensuring efficient case progression.

The Litigation Paralegal will oversee approximately 50 active litigation cases, handling all aspects from discovery through trial. Key responsibilities include drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing and calendaring litigation deadlines, coordinating depositions and mediations, and maintaining organized, document-intensive case files using the Smokeball case management system. This role enables attorneys to focus on strategic decision-making by managing day-to-day case progressions and driving cases toward timely and favorable resolutions.

Candidates should possess at least 5 years of personal injury litigation experience, particularly with complex cases. The role requires autonomy, with the ability to manage a litigation docket independently and proactively. Familiarity with Smokeball or similar legal technologies is essential, along with exceptional organizational skills to handle a high volume of documents and strict deadlines. Strong professional judgment is necessary to discern tasks requiring attorney input from those manageable independently, and a clear understanding of efficiency and case progression's impact on firm profitability is expected.
