Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Arlington, Virginia. This role involves working closely with attorneys to provide comprehensive support throughout the litigation process.
As a Litigation Paralegal, your primary responsibilities will include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will also be responsible for e-filing court documents in both state and federal courts, communicating with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additional duties encompass drafting and serving summonses, coordinating and summarizing depositions, preparing trial binders and exhibits, and assisting attorneys with case settlements.
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred. A minimum of three years of litigation experience is required, along with completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program. Experience in personal injury, workers compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential.
