Machine Learning Engineer (Intern)
Appier is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join its Enterprise Solution Science Team. This team focuses on applying cutting-edge machine learning technologies to real-world marketing problems by integrating them with omnichannel customer data. The role is based in Taipei, Taiwan, and requires a commitment of 2 to 4 days per week for a minimum duration of six months.
The intern will assist in operating robust machine learning job execution frameworks for training, inference, and post-processing. Responsibilities include building and maintaining internal API servers and developer tools to orchestrate machine learning jobs on Kubernetes, as well as implementing data infrastructure and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. Additionally, the intern will create internal tools and services to simplify machine learning experimentation and production workflows, collaborating closely with senior machine learning engineers and scientists to turn research outputs into user-facing product features.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in machine learning or engineering is required. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go, along with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, is essential. Preferred qualifications include an impact-driven mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, familiarity with LLM-powered tools to boost development productivity, understanding of core machine learning and deep learning concepts, hands-on experience with end-to-end machine learning workflows and AI system architecture, and proficiency with cloud-native ecosystems like Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, and Argo Workflows.
