Management Accountant - 12 month FTC
WPP Media is seeking a Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our finance team in Dublin, Ireland. This role offers a significant opportunity to leverage your skills and contribute to a fast-paced, global organization during a critical period. Reporting to the Senior Finance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and collaborating with internal departments.
As a Management Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and contributing to the analysis of financial data to identify trends and provide insights. You will also liaise with internal and external auditors, assist in the preparation and submission of various tax returns, and ensure all financial processes and records comply with Group Policies and relevant accounting standards. Additionally, you will maintain the general ledger, support the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, and identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes for greater efficiency and control.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) with significant practical experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced environment with tight reporting deadlines. Experience within the media industry is a plus. A solid understanding of core accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial reporting is essential. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, clear and concise communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are also required. A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are key to success in this role.
