The Benefits Manager at Sony Music Entertainment will oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, wellness initiatives, leave policies, and retirement plans. This role is integral to ensuring the organization remains competitive and compliant while fostering employee well-being, engagement, and retention.
Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations of benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as flexible spending and health savings accounts. The manager will develop and implement cost-effective benefits strategies aligned with organizational goals, conduct regular benchmarking to ensure competitiveness, and prepare required federal, state, and local reports in compliance with regulations like ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA. Additionally, the role involves leading large-scale projects related to benefit implementations and process enhancements, acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers, and developing clear communication plans for benefits programs.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in employee benefits administration, with comprehensive knowledge of plan design, compliance, and administration. A strong understanding of applicable laws and regulations is essential, along with proficiency in HRIS/benefits administration systems and Microsoft Office Suite. The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
