The Manager, Commerce Strategy role at WPP Media involves understanding the capabilities of commerce platforms, including retail media networks and adtech partners, to assist in solving complex business problems through simplified points of view. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple client accounts, collaborate with retail partners, and support dynamic cross-functional project teams, infusing the best of WPP Media's network capabilities into clients' day-to-day deliverables.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the enhancement of account management and improving service delivery to GroupM Commerce clients across agencies. The role supports agency teams—including investment, search, social, programmatic, data, and analytics—to deliver comprehensive solutions that accomplish clients' business objectives. Additionally, the Manager, Commerce Strategy supports the integration between commerce and brand media to develop end-to-end media plans, manages relationships to ensure the delivery of first-to-market media solutions, stays updated on the latest trends and best practices in retail media, and develops and disseminates points of view on changing industry dynamics.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or equivalent professional work experience, along with over three years of experience in commerce across paid media, trade strategy, retail, consulting, and/or analytics. Essential skills include the ability to execute effective media plans that achieve business objectives, proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), a strong drive to understand the retail landscape and the latest trends in commerce media, and strong communication and presentation skills. A deep understanding of retail commercial elements such as profit margin, inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to inform media decisions is also required.
