Manager-Data Engineer

The Manager-Data Engineer role at WPP Media involves leading the maintenance and expansion of WPP’s Measure reporting platform to meet client reporting needs. The position is based in Bangalore and Gurgaon, India, and requires collaboration with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality data solutions.

Key responsibilities include leveraging Google Cloud Platform applications to transfer data into client environments, deploying and troubleshooting data collectors in Adverity, and developing SQL transformations using DBT. The role also involves maintaining data quality checks, monitoring automated jobs, and supporting the development of interactive dashboards. Additionally, the Manager-Data Engineer will lead a team of two junior engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.

The ideal candidate should have 4-5+ years of experience with AWS and other cloud technologies, as well as designing and maintaining data warehouses. Proficiency in Python for data-related processes, advanced SQL skills, and experience with real-time and batch data pipelines are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior staff are also required.
