Manager, Engineering (Data Platform)

Garner Health is seeking a Manager of Engineering for their Data Platform team. This role involves leading a team dedicated to developing scalable data infrastructure that supports both internal and external applications. The position is based in New York City, with an expectation of working in the office three days per week.

The Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of systems that process complex healthcare data. Responsibilities include building and optimizing data pipelines, establishing standards for data modeling, and integrating AI tools to enhance development workflows. The role also involves translating business requirements into technical solutions and aligning team priorities with organizational goals.

Candidates should have at least five years of engineering experience, focusing on big data and distributed systems, and a minimum of two years in a managerial role. Proficiency with technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and AWS services is required. Experience with healthcare data standards and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset are preferred.

The target salary range for this position is $239,000 to $275,000 annually. Additional compensation includes participation in equity incentive plans and benefits such as flexible PTO, medical, dental, and vision plans, and a 401(k) plan.
