Manager, Fleet Command Center
The Manager of the Fleet Command Center (FCC) at May Mobility leads the FCC team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the performance, development, and well-being of FCC Operators and Specialists. This role is pivotal in maintaining rider safety and satisfaction, ensuring timely fleet coverage, and driving continuous improvement as the company scales its autonomous vehicle operations.
Key responsibilities include hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing FCC staff; managing shift coverage, escalation handling, and incident response; setting and monitoring team and individual performance metrics; collaborating with the Training team to enhance FCC Operator training programs; serving as the senior escalation point for complex situations; partnering with Site Operations and Engineering on deployments and new features; identifying and implementing process improvements; coordinating FCC participation in events; maintaining documentation; and managing staffing forecasts and budgets.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a direct people management role. Experience in fleet coordination, route optimization, and operator communication is essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Experience managing a 24/7 operations or command-center environment and familiarity with autonomous vehicles, transit, rideshare, or similar fleet operations are advantageous.
