The Manager of Infrastructure Engineering will lead, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers, providing clear direction and support to foster a productive team environment. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering roles and a minimum of 2 years managing or mentoring engineers. Strong project management skills are essential, with the ability to drive initiatives from planning to delivery. Excellent communication skills in English are required for collaboration with US-based leadership. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is preferred, though experience with AWS is also acceptable. Additional desirable qualifications include hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, familiarity with container orchestration systems like Docker and Kubernetes, experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Spinnaker, a background in programming languages like Python, Go, or Java for automation and tooling, and knowledge of security best practices, networking fundamentals, and incident management.

The position offers a starting base pay range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, with stock options providing a direct opportunity to share in Airship’s success. Airship fosters a collaborative and innovative company culture, emphasizing flexibility and a digital-first approach to work. The company supports a remote work environment, allowing employees to collaborate across different locations and time zones. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale distributed data systems, contributing to products and services that impact millions of customers worldwide.
