Manager, Media Optimization
The Manager, Media Optimization at WPP Media is responsible for executing programmatic media plans using industry-leading media technology platforms. This role involves taking ownership of clients' programmatic implementation and day-to-day execution, ensuring campaigns are managed effectively and deliver optimal results. The position is based in Chicago or New York, aligning with WPP Media's commitment to providing exceptional media services to its clients.
Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of campaign management, such as campaign and creative setup, quality assurance, budget allocation, tracking and tagging, proactive performance checks, optimizations, pacing, and profitability updates. The Manager will also support the development of client campaign objectives into programmatic activation strategies, including defining and building target audiences and sourcing relevant inventory opportunities. Additionally, the role involves onboarding and training new team members, developing strong working relationships with digital account teams, collaborating with agency teams and publishers to source and implement high-quality inventory opportunities, and contributing to the development of best practices to improve work quality and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 1 year managing programmatic campaigns at an agency, DSP, or Ad Network. Familiarity with key programmatic and digital platforms, especially DSPs (e.g., DV360, TTD) and ad servers (e.g., DCM, Sizmek, AdForm), is essential. Knowledge of HTML, XML, and JavaScript in an advertising context is also required. Strong analytical abilities, advanced Excel skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional organizational skills are necessary. Previous management or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
