Manager, Software Engineering
Conga is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead a team in Bangalore, India, focused on developing and enhancing our Document Automation platform. This platform encompasses document generation, data merging, and digital signature capabilities, serving thousands of enterprise customers worldwide. The role involves close collaboration with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Assurance, Site Reliability Engineering, and peer Engineering Managers across India and the Americas.
The Manager will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of backend services, APIs, user interfaces, and supporting infrastructure that facilitate document composition, data binding, signing workflows, and lifecycle management of generated documents. Key responsibilities include ensuring the platform meets enterprise standards for performance, reliability, auditability, and security, as well as translating customer needs and compliance requirements into actionable engineering tasks.
Candidates should possess over 8 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in managerial roles. A strong technical background in modern software systems, such as single-page applications, microservice architectures, and third-party integrations, is essential. Proficiency in object-oriented design, concurrency, performance optimization, and scalability is required, along with experience in building secure, auditable systems handling critical customer data.
