Stoke Space is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Reliability to join their mission-driven team in Kent, Washington. The company is dedicated to building Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle designed for daily flights, aiming to reduce costs, increase availability, and enhance reliability in space transportation. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of quality standards in a cutting-edge launch vehicle factory.

In this position, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing capabilities within the factory to improve lead times and the reliability of the launch vehicle product. Key duties include quantifying risks at the intersection of manufacturing processes and vehicle performance, implementing work execution tools and processes in partnership with the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software development team, and overseeing the AS9100 certification process to redefine industry standards. The role requires a proactive approach to developing standards and processes necessary for delivering vehicles reliably and repeatably.

Candidates should possess an intimate knowledge of aerospace and engineering standards, with AS9100 experience preferred. Experience with detailed mechanical design, including machined parts, metal additive parts, weldments, fasteners, and complex assemblies, is essential. A strong background in safety-critical systems, methods for analyzing and quantifying risk, or failure investigation is also required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by influence across disciplines and experience levels are crucial. A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a similar field, is mandatory.

Compensation for this role includes a competitive salary range, with Level 3 positions offering between $129,150 and $193,620 annually, and Level 4 positions ranging from $151,305 to $252,105 annually. In addition to salary, Stoke Space offers equity in the form of stock options to all regular, full-time employees.
