Media Planning Manager
As a Media Planning Manager at WPP Media, you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated media and communication plans for a global client, encompassing both online and offline channels. While the focus is primarily on digital media, the client actively engages in offline campaigns, requiring a planner who can effectively leverage both online and offline skills. This role offers the opportunity to work with senior-level stakeholders and be part of a global agency responsible for communication planning for world-renowned clients.
Key responsibilities include developing and following best practices and procedures for media planning and operations, setting viable objectives and KPIs, and recommending or developing measurement methodologies against all briefs. You will ensure projects and campaigns are tracked and measured based on agreed KPIs and media efficiencies. Additionally, you will provide guidance to the team on planning, operations, and optimization of digital campaigns, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth campaign implementation, and update the team and clients on new trends and changes in the media landscape, such as new media vendors and ad formats.
The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in a media agency, with a leadership track record guiding a small team. Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including suppliers, advertising or marketing agencies, media owners, and internal specialist resources, is essential. Competence in media planning and buying across all platforms, with a good understanding and working knowledge of digital media, is required. The candidate should demonstrate a depth of understanding of the industry, business, brands, and consumers in client conversations, possess strong thought leadership and the ability to tell a compelling digital story, and have a track record of success in integrating a digital product offering into a wider communications planning offering, both offline and online. Applied knowledge of third-party ad-serving, website tracking, and associated technologies, especially programmatic, is a must. A positive team spirit with the willingness to go the extra mile and a passion for thinking outside the box are also important.
