Media Strategist (Mensch)
As a Media Strategist at WPP Media, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic management of a major FMCG client. Operating within a dynamic team, you will ensure the alignment and success of global campaigns, contributing to WPP Media's mission of delivering creative personalization at scale.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing integrated communication and media strategies, determining channel mixes, media roles, and budget allocations. You will analyze target audiences, media consumption patterns, competitive landscapes, and cultural trends to translate data into actionable strategic insights. Collaborating closely with creative, data, account, and planning teams, you will craft comprehensive communication solutions and leverage data-driven tools and AI-based approaches to enhance strategic processes and identify innovative media and communication strategies. Additionally, you will support strategic pitches by creating compelling narratives and presentations.
The ideal candidate will possess 2–4 years of experience in a media, communication, or strategy agency, or in strategic marketing. You should demonstrate the ability to translate data, market analyses, and consumer insights into clear strategic recommendations. A solid understanding of both traditional and digital media channels and their roles along the customer journey is essential. Strong analytical skills, structured and data-driven work habits, and the capability to simplify complex concepts are required. Proficiency in presenting strategic ideas clearly and convincingly in both German and English is also necessary.
