Operational Compliance Auditor
Metropolis is seeking an Operational Compliance Auditor to enhance and improve our operations by systematically evaluating risk management, control, and governance processes. This role involves acting as an independent partner to operations management, providing timely recommendations, and ensuring the achievement of our operational and financial goals. The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and sound judgment to review control processes, ensuring information reliability, regulatory compliance, and asset safeguarding.
Key responsibilities include acting as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity and goal achievement, identifying loopholes and recommending risk aversion measures and cost savings, maintaining open communication with management, conducting follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions, and engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding Metropolis's parking equipment, industry rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards. Additionally, the auditor will obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, perform location audits at commercial and aviation sites, prepare and present reports reflecting observations and recommendations, and work on special assignments such as consulting services, investigations, training program development, and other strategic initiatives. The role requires 25-35% travel.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven working experience as a Senior Operations Manager or equivalent experience is required, along with knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations. Proficiency in common office software, such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, is necessary. The role demands the ability to manipulate large amounts of data to compile detailed reports, high attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and strong writing and communication skills. Experience leveraging AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes is also desired. Prior management experience in parking, hospitality, or related industries is a plus.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $100,000.00 USD to $115,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more.
