The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in transforming the firm's operational framework by establishing structure, accountability, and process ownership across the organization. Key responsibilities include taking immediate ownership of financial operations, developing and implementing standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency, creating robust reporting systems using tools like SmartAdvocate and AI technologies, monitoring case progress to ensure efficient task execution, facilitating effective team communication, acting as the primary onsite decision-maker in the partners' frequent absence, and coordinating with vendors to maintain active marketing channels.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in managing bookkeeping and accounting within a law firm setting, experience and understanding of legal workflows and litigation processes, particularly in a plaintiff practice, a proven ability to establish and improve operational procedures and workflows, a strong emphasis on accuracy, grammar, and precision in communications and reporting, the ability to operate independently and drive initiatives without constant direction, and an understanding of law firm operations, including identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
