Carta is seeking a Paralegal to join its Funds team within Carta Law, the largest AI-native law firm for private capital. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside lawyers and senior paralegals, contributing to high-quality client delivery across fast-moving, high-volume matters. The position is available in multiple locations, including San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Hamilton, NJ; Sandy, UT; and Seattle, WA.

As a Funds Paralegal, your primary responsibilities will include preparing initial drafts of Limited Partner (LP) transfer documents such as transfer agreements, consents, and subscription agreements. You will liaise with transfer parties on process and timings, assist with execution workflows, and work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals to ensure efficient and accurate document preparation. Over time, you will have the opportunity to build commercial and legal expertise, with potential to take ownership of client accounts and progress towards qualification via the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route.

Ideal candidates will possess an undergraduate law degree or equivalent, with prior exposure to LP transfer processes considered a plus. A strong desire to learn and grow, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines are essential. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Seattle, WA: $72,485 - $90,640 (hourly rate of $34.85 - $43.58)

- New Jersey: $64,855 - $81,099 (hourly rate of $31.18 - $38.99)

- New York, NY: $76,300 - $95,410 (hourly rate of $36.68 - $45.87)

These figures represent annualized salaries based on an estimated 40-hour workweek before overtime.
