Partner Sales Executive, ANZ Channel
The Partner Sales Executive, ANZ Channel at Canonical is responsible for developing and executing channel strategies to expand the company's presence in Australia and New Zealand. This role involves identifying, recruiting, and managing relationships with reseller and distributor partners to drive sales growth for Canonical's open-source software solutions. The position reports to the Director of APAC Channel Sales and requires a blend of strategic planning and proactive engagement to achieve annual growth targets.
Key responsibilities include formulating and implementing channel strategies for distributors and resellers within the assigned territory. The executive will increase awareness of Canonical as a leader in open-source and cloud solutions, identify and onboard new partners, and leverage personal networks to build and strengthen relationships. Additionally, the role involves guiding partners through onboarding and enablement processes, developing mutually beneficial go-to-market plans, conducting sales and pre-sales training, managing the channel pipeline through regular partner interactions, and acting as a trusted advisor to ensure partner satisfaction.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology-related field, and possesses experience in software or technology sales within the specified market. Fluency in English and a solid understanding of open-source technologies, Linux, and Ubuntu are essential. The candidate should be a self-starter with a proven track record of achieving sales targets, demonstrate strong follow-up and negotiation skills, and exhibit excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities. The ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team, maintain long-term customer relationships, and represent the company at external events is also required. Experience in a startup environment is considered advantageous.
