Payroll Manager
ClearScore Technology Limited is seeking a Payroll Manager to join its finance team in London. This role is integral to supporting ClearScore's expansion across the UK, South Africa, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, encompassing all business units, including ClearScore, DriveScore, D•One, and Aro. The Payroll Manager will oversee payroll operations for approximately 500 employees across the ClearScore Group.
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end monthly payroll process for all ClearScore Group entities, ensuring accurate and timely submissions. This includes adhering to relevant compliance and regulations in each payroll jurisdiction, acting as the primary contact for employee payroll inquiries, and collaborating with benefit providers, payroll partners, and other stakeholders. Additional duties involve providing detailed payroll reconciliations, posting payroll journal entries to the general ledger, assisting with financial reporting of staff costs, staying updated on payroll legislation, implementing best practices, and managing the employee expense reimbursement process.
Ideal candidates should possess a CIPP qualification (or international equivalent), though this is preferred and not mandatory. Proven experience in payroll management, particularly within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, is essential. Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll processing software, such as HiBob/Pento and Deel, is advantageous. A strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance is required, with knowledge of South African, Australian, and Canadian payroll regulations being beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, effective communication skills, a desire to learn, and a drive to improve processes through technology and automation.
