The Payroll Manager at Verra Mobility is responsible for overseeing comprehensive payroll operations across multiple pay groups. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with all relevant regulations, and collaborates closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to enhance process efficiency and maintain robust internal controls. Key responsibilities include managing full-cycle payroll processing for diverse employee populations, maintaining payroll calendars and funding processes, and reviewing payroll data such as earnings, deductions, taxes, and garnishments. The Payroll Manager also handles off-cycle payments and adjustments as needed, ensuring all payroll activities are executed accurately and on schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, along with over five years of experience in Workday payroll systems, including full-cycle payroll processing in a multi-state environment. A strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations is essential. Additionally, experience with union payroll processing, prevailing wage compliance, and operating within a SOX-controlled environment is preferred.
