Payroll Specialist Junior - Part-time

Alpega Group is seeking a Junior Payroll Specialist to join our international finance team in Barcelona, Spain. This part-time role involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage payroll tasks across various entities. Alpega is a leading software company with over 35 years of experience, offering modular solutions to optimize transportation processes.

The Junior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for reconciling monthly payroll data from external providers, collecting and reviewing timesheet information, and updating payroll systems for new hires and terminations. Additional duties include calculating salaries, overtime, commissions, bonuses, and vacation days, as well as providing payroll data to external providers and the Treasury team. The role also involves addressing payroll-related inquiries and maintaining accurate employee records.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience as a payroll specialist, including internships, and hold a degree in administration, finance, or a related field. Fluency in English at a B2 level or higher is required, along with strong numerical aptitude and an interest in accounting principles and payroll practices. Trustworthiness, attention to confidentiality, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential.

The position offers a part-time contract of 20 hours per week, health insurance, and a hybrid work model with three days in the office and two days working from home. Employees will be part of an international environment with over 40 nationalities represented within the Alpega team.
