Remote is seeking a Payroll Specialist Lead to join its Global Payroll Operations Team. This role involves managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and maintaining data integrity. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for Spain, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance payroll operations.

Key responsibilities include processing in-house payroll, handling statutory filings, managing exceptions and approvals, and ensuring timely payments. The role also involves accounting reconciliations, focusing on key performance indicators and service level agreements, implementing process improvements, mentoring payroll specialists, and providing backup support for regional managers during absences.

Candidates should have experience in payroll management or a related field, knowledge of payroll best practices, and proficiency in software tools like SAP and Excel or Google Sheets. An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities is essential. The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment and work largely asynchronously is important. Fluency in English is required, and experience working remotely is considered a plus.

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from €43,000 to €47,000.
