PIP Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced PIP Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. As a key member of our litigation team, you will work closely with our attorneys to provide comprehensive support throughout the trial process. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission of protecting the rights of individuals against powerful entities.
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. Your duties will include e-filing court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and managing discovery documents, including drafting and responding to interrogatories. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist with witness preparation and case settlements.
The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, along with a minimum of two years of litigation experience. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are required.
